Westwood Models was started by myself, Robert Learmouth with later help from my partner Karen. The business has it roots back in 1991 when I joined the NSCC following a childhood spent obsessed with Scalextric. In order to finance my rapidly growing collection I started dealing in spare cars. This grew over the years until in 1999 things were put on a formal footing with the creation of Westwood Models.

For many years I juggled running Westwood Models with a full-time job as an IT consultant. This became increasingly difficult as time went on and in May 2003 I left the world of IT to concentrate full-time on slot cars. At this point I also set-up Slotbug which is the business I now concentrate on while Karen looks after Westwood Models.

Scalextric is, was and probably always will be the main product line of Westwood Models. However these days there are many fine alternative ranges on the market and you will find a useful selection of Fly and Ninco available too.

Westwood Models is part of a 3-way slot car alliance. All 3 businesses are independently owned and operated. Each operation has a different focus on the world of slot cars and we believe this ensures customer requirements are serviced in the best possible way:
